Oxford University scientists have developed a robotic car that can drive and navigate itself. This car is believed to be an ‘antidote’ traffic jams.
That is, technologically advanced car it started to get into the street the next 15 years. The riders who are tired can take advantage of features of the autopilot and a nap. Intelligent vehicle named ‘Wildcat’ of Oxford was made with the help of sophisticated contractor BAe Systems.
This car has a laser and camera ‘eye’ to read the road as well as massive computer brain to process information, make decisions and adapt to the conditions, speed and changing environment.
According to scientists, a car navigation system is much more accurate than the conventional navigation system that is completely automated and do not need a reference satellite location and able to respond independently to other vehicles and obstacles.
Professor Paul Newman from Oxford University was quoted as saying DM, “We need cars that can think and concentrate for you as well as a car that does not force you to always drive. This car will be perfect in the next 15 years
